One such case has come to light from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Here, a married woman had to pay the price with her life for having an affair with another young man even after marriage. The woman’s body was found hanging from a tree.
This case has come to light from Rohru sub-division of Shimla district. A woman had committed suicide here. The woman’s body was found hanging from a tree. The woman had gone to her maternal home, from where she had left for her in-laws’ house, but she did not reach her in-laws’ house. Two days after leaving her maternal home, the dead body of the married woman was found hanging from a tree.
It is being told that the woman was married, but even after marriage she had a love affair with another young man. The woman used to talk to her lover. On which the family members have accused her lover of the woman’s death. She says that it was her lover who instigated her married daughter to commit suicide, due to which her daughter took such a step.
In the complaint submitted to the police station Chirgaon, Leelakmani, the mother of the deceased married woman, said that her elder daughter Rosie Devi (28) was married to Gulat Ram, a resident of Karalash. On October 30, his daughter had come to her parents’ home to cut the grass. After that she went back to her in-laws’ house on 1st November. But she did not reach her in-laws’ house.
The mother of the deceased woman told that her daughter used to talk to a young man from Rohru area. When she left for her in-laws’ house on November 1, she did not reach her in-laws’ house for the next two days. Meanwhile, her daughter Rosie stayed with her lover on November 1 and 2. Rosie’s lover has instigated the daughter to commit suicide.
