Instructions to replace faulty transformer within one hour in cities and two hours in villages

Chandigarh. Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij has instructed officials to replace faulty transformers within one hour in urban areas and two hours in rural areas. Minister Anil Vij was talking to journalists after the meeting of departmental officials in Chandigarh on Wednesday. Minister Vij said that officials have been instructed not to push people towards power crisis due to malfunction of transformers. It has been asked to find out the load of all the transformers in the state. Where the connection load is high, new and higher capacity transformers will be installed. He said that in today’s meeting the PM Suryaghar Yojana was also reviewed. So far, one lakh applications have been received under this scheme. Which will be settled by 31st March. Apart from this, a report has been sought regarding upgrading and availability of solar system. Vij said that instructions have also been given to amend the compensation policy in case of house fire due to short circuit and death of employees while on duty. He said that in today’s meeting, instructions have been given to both the power companies to reduce the line loss to less than 10 percent. The rules regarding online transfer of employees are not being followed in the department. For this also, instructions have been issued to top officials.
