Varanasi. MP Sports Competition 2024-2025 started at Sampoornanand Sanskrit University. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Bihari Lal Sharma inaugurated it. During this he discussed the importance and objective of the competition.
He said that sports provides an opportunity to students to showcase their talent and become physically and mentally strong. He said that sports not only promotes physical health, but it also develops mental health and the spirit of teamwork, which is helpful in the all-round development of the students.
The competition has been organized by the Physical Education and Sports Department of the university. The Vice Chancellor said that by organizing sports, the university is promoting the spirit of competition and excellence among its students, which is creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the students. Dr. Satyendra Kumar Yadav, in-charge of Physical Education and Sports Department, as Assistant Nodal Officer, informed that this competition has awakened the spirit of competition and dedication among all the participants.
On the first day, in the shot put competition, Shyam Shankar Tiwari got first place, Upendra Kumar Dubey and Ravi Ranjan Pandey got second and third place respectively. The participants also enthusiastically participated in the push up and chin up competition organized on the second day. In the push up competition, Ravi Ranjan Pandey stood first, Himanshu Pal stood second and Upendra Kumar Dubey stood third. In the chin up competition, Himanshu Pal stood first, Upendra Kumar Dubey stood second and Manish Kumar stood third.
Dr. Satyendra Yadav told that rope jumping and badminton competition will be organized on 8th November. On this occasion Proctor Prof. Dinesh Kumar Garg, archery instructor Aditya Kumar, Somnath Pandey, and a large number of students were present.
