New Delhi. ICC Test Rankings : The side effects of Team India’s shameful defeat in the India-New Zealand Test series are beginning to emerge. ICC has released the latest rankings of Test batsmen. In this list, Virat Kohli is out of top-20 and Rohit Sharma is out of top-25. The relief is so great that ICC Test Rankings Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill benefited. Whereas Ravichandran Ashwin reached fifth place in the bowlers ranking. As far as team ranking is concerned, New Zealand reached number 5 in Tests. Whereas Australia is at first place and India is at second place.

ICC Test Rankings: Virat out of top-20 after two decades
Virat Kohli is struggling with poor form in the home Test series against Bangladesh and New Zealand. Kohli could score only one fifty in 10 innings of 5 matches. He scored 192 runs at an average of 21.33. Due to weak performance in 5 consecutive Tests, Virat lost 8 places and reached 22nd position. In this way, Virat was out of the top-20 Test rankings after 10 years, the last time he was out of the top-20 was in 2014 due to poor performance against England. In the same year, he returned to the top-10 by scoring 4 centuries in Australia. Now India is going on Australia tour once again from 22nd November.

Team India captain Rohit Sharma also suffered a loss in the batsmen’s rankings. fresh ICC Test Rankings Rohit has moved from 24th to 26th position. Whereas India’s wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has entered the top-10. Pant has now reached sixth position. Shubhman Gill has also jumped 4 places to reach 16th position. Yashasvi Jaiswal remains the top Indian among test batsmen. However, after the New Zealand series, he also lost one place and reached fourth position. England’s Joe Root is at first and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson is at second.

ICC Test Rankings: Ashwin’s loss among bowlers
After the test series against Bangladesh ICC Test Rankings (In bowlers ranking), India’s Jasprit Bumrah was at first and Ravichandran Ashwin was at second. After the New Zealand series, Bumrah reached third position and Ashwin reached fifth position. However, Ravindra Jadeja jumped 2 places to reach sixth position. Kagiso Rabada of South Africa remains at first place and Josh Hazlewood of Australia remains at second place.

Even after losing the Test series against New Zealand 0-3, India remains at second position in the team rankings. Australia is on top. New Zealand moved up one place to fifth place. Team India remains the top team in ODI and T-20.
