In a rally held in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, Congress leader Sachin Pilot criticized the central government, accusing it of practicing “divisive politics” that has left Jharkhand out of significant developmental programs. Pilot highlighted the importance of inclusivity in governance and emphasized that the current approach has led to unnecessary polarization, which, he argues, has impeded Jharkhand’s growth and development.
“We are witnessing an example of divisive politics in Jharkhand,” Pilot stated. “The central government knowingly kept this state from developmental programs, denying its citizens the progress they deserve. The people are with JMM and Congress, and we will make Jharkhand a developed state.”
Pilot’s remarks come in the context of the ongoing debates surrounding Jharkhand’s development policies and the role of both state and central government initiatives. He emphasized the commitment of the Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) to work towards a vision of Jharkhand that prioritizes development and infrastructure. According to Pilot, Jharkhand has immense potential that has not been adequately tapped due to the policies and attitudes of the central government.
Pilot’s comments drew significant responses from the crowd, who expressed support for the Congress-JMM alliance’s promise to focus on inclusive growth in the state. The Congress leader’s statements underscore the ongoing tensions between regional and central governance models and reflect the determination of the JMM-Congress alliance to ensure development reaches the grassroots level in Jharkhand.
