Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp wants to strengthen its presence in Europe also. The company wants to enter markets like Britain, France, Spain and Italy next year.

Hero MotoCorp Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Niranjan Gupta said on the occasion of EICMA that there will be a lot of activity in the product portfolio (in the EV segment) in the next six months. We will also launch electric two-wheelers in the more affordable segment. Hero MotoCorp’s Vida electric scooter series is currently priced between Rs 1-1.5 lakh including subsidy.

The company currently sells Vida series electric scooters with more than 400 sales touchpoints in more than 230 cities and towns in the country. Gupta said that the company has performed well in the electric vehicle segment. In the recently concluded festive season, 11,600 units were sold. This leading two-wheeler manufacturing company currently sells its two-wheelers in 48 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Gupta said that the company can offer two-wheelers in these markets at affordable prices.
