Baba Siddiqui murder case, Crime Branch team caught two suspects from Pune, 18 arrested so far
Mumbai. Mumbai Crime Branch today arrested two more accused in the case of heinous murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Both the accused have been arrested from Pune, Maharashtra. He has been arrested allegedly for his alleged connection with another accused Praveen Lonkar. Who is said to have supplied him about 50 pills. Police said that detailed information about his role is being investigated.
It is noteworthy that with the present two arrests, the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a total of eighteen people in connection with the murder of the NCP leader. Earlier, Mumbai Crime Branch had arrested 23-year-old Gaurav Vilas Apune from Pune after his alleged role in the case came to light. Talking about the details regarding the arrest, an officer said that he (Apu) allegedly had information about the entire plan being hatched to kill the NCP leader.
The officer said his name came up for the first time during the interrogation of some of the arrested accused. He gave details about his involvement in the conspiracy to attack Siddiqui. The officer said that he was also promised a substantial amount of money for his role in the conspiracy. Apune was trained in the use of firearms by some absconding accused.
