Abu Azmi, furious over Raj Thackeray’s loudspeaker statement, said the politics of priests of hatred should end.
Mumbai. Politics has intensified in Maharashtra regarding loudspeakers in mosques. A statement from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray came out regarding this. Now Raj Thackeray’s statement is being countered. Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi has also given a strong reaction on Raj Thackeray’s statement. That Raj Thackeray says such things to get cheap fame. People are not so innocent that they fall for his words. He clearly said that the politics of these priests of hatred should end.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray again raised the issue of loudspeakers on mosques during a rally in Amravati. Elections will be held in Maharashtra on 20th November, counting of votes will take place on 23rd November. He alleged that some Muslim leaders are issuing fatwas from mosques to seek votes for Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). Regarding this he said that give me power and I will ensure that there is not a single loudspeaker on any mosque in Maharashtra.
Thackeray also claimed that he had forcibly removed the loudspeakers of the mosque during Uddhav Thackeray’s tenure as Chief Minister due to which 17,000 cases were registered against his supporters. Targeting Sharad Pawar, Thackeray called him Sant Sharadchandra Pawar, accusing him of instigating discord between OBC and Maratha communities. Taking aim at Uddhav Thackeray’s recent call for Shivaji Maharaj temples in all districts, Thackeray asked whether statues are not enough that temples need to be built in every district.
