Tata Motors will introduce 3 new 4X4 electric SUVs in the Indian market in the form of Harrier, Safari and Sierra EV.

One of the most exciting lineup of upcoming launches is from Tata or Mahindra. Both manufacturers are planning to strengthen their electric portfolio. Here is the list of electric SUVs that Tata is planning to launch and these SUVs will probably get 4×4 variants.

1. Tata Harrier EV

The interiors of the upcoming Harrier EV will have the same dashboard layout as the updated ICE version. Some of the key features include a large 12.3-inch infotainment system, wireless charger, wireless smartphone connectivity, electronic parking brake with auto hold and a rotary dial for drive modes. Similar to the ICE variant, the electric Harrier will be equipped with a large panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, 360-degree surround camera with blind spot monitor, and Level 2 ADAS.

No technical specifications have been confirmed but we do know that the Harrier EV will be the first electric SUV to be offered with an AWD configuration. We expect the Harrier EV to deliver a range of 500 km on a single charge.

2. Tata Safari EV

The upcoming Safari EV will share most of its design with its ICE model and in the testing model we can see that the alloy wheels seem to sport a different design. It also has similar connected LED taillights. Its interiors will likely be similar to its ICE variant, including a 4-spoke steering wheel with illuminated ‘Tata’ logo.

Talking about the features, Safari EV will include 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display, dual-zone AC, ventilated front and rear seats, panoramic sunroof etc. It will also get safety features like 360-degree camera, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and ADAS. The electric version of the Tata Safari will be based on Tata’s new Acti.EV platform and we expect it to offer a range of around 500 km. Since the Harrier EV will have an all-wheel-drive option, it could also be offered for the Safari EV.

3. Tata Sierra EV

We currently don’t have any official information from Tata, but we believe the brand’s new Acti.EV architecture will play a key role in the development of a new breed of EVs in India. The production version of the Harrier EV is expected to be unveiled at the 2025 India Mobility Show, while the new Tata Sierra will arrive by the end of 2025.
