Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Police took strong action against four terror handlers based in Pakistan, attaching their properties worth crores in Handwara.

The move was made after an order from the additional sessions court in Handwara, following the people being declared as proclaimed offenders in connection with a terrorism-related case.

Properties of terror handlers attached

The police seized land measuring 9 kanals and 11 marlas, belonging to terror handlers: Abdul Majeed Malla from Supernaghama, Abdul Rashid Mir from Supernaghama, Arshid Ahmad Parry from Mandigam and Sajad Ahmad Bhat from Palpora Kralgund.

The action was carried out under Section 88 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) after they were declared proclaimed offenders in a 2011 case registered under the IMCO Act and other sections related to criminal conspiracy.

Bodies recovered of 2 missing Kishtwar VDGs

In a separate incident, a massive search operation was launched in Kishtwar to locate two missing Village Defence Guards (VDGs). The search began on Thursday evening after an offshoot of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist group, Kashmir Tigers, claimed responsibility for the killing of the two men, Nazir Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar, who had gone to graze cattle in the Munzla Dhar forest.

The terrorists warned others against joining VDGs, sharing a photo of the two blindfolded men as proof. Security forces, including the J&K Police, Army, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), worked cautiously to recover the bodies from the hilly terrain, fearing traps set by the terrorists.
