Mahalakshami Muhurat 2025? How long Mahalakshmi Jyestha Gauri fast, know auspicious time, mantra and worship method
Mahalaxmi Puja 2025: This time the 3 -day Mahalakshmi fast celebrated in Maharashtra is starting on Sunday, 31 August 2025 which will end on Tuesday September 2025. Mahalakshmi is worshiped here as Gauri, hence it is also called Jyeshtha Gauri Vrat. Jyestha is a form of Gauri Devi Parvati. This festival is dedicated to Goddess Gauri, who is a symbol of wealth, prosperity and peace.
What do you do in a three -day fast?
1. Gauri Murthy Establishment: In this three -day festival, the idol of Goddess Gauri is brought home and installing. On this occasion, Anuradha installs an idol by considering the arrival of Goddess in Nakshatra.
2. Gauri Call and Pujan: They are worshiped on the second day. In Jyestha Nakshatra, Gauri Parvati is worshiped and offered greatness.
3. Gauri immersion: The idol is immersed on the third day. On the third day, Gauri is immersed in the original constellation.

Mahalakshmi Jyestha Gauri establishment, auspicious time for worship, worship and immersion:
1. Establishment: Anuradha Nakshatra Time till 05:27 in the evening on 31 August. Abhijeet Muhurta- Between 11:56 to 12:47 in the afternoon.
2. Pujan: Jyestha Nakshatra Time till 07:55 pm on 01 September. Abhijeet Muhurta- Between 11:55 to 12:46 in the afternoon.
3. immersion: The original constellation time till 09:51 pm on 2 September. Abhijeet Muhurta- Between 11:55 to 12:46 in the afternoon.
In this way, the 3 -day Jyestha Gauri fast will start from 31 August and end on 2 September 2025. With this, the sixteen -day Mahalakshmi festival will also start from 31 August 2025 this year and will run till 14 September 2025. This fast lasts for a full 16 days and it is believed that by doing this, there is a habitat of happiness and prosperity in the house and removes poverty.
Mahalakshmi Puja Vidhi:
– On the day of Mahalakshmi fast, in the morning, take retired from bathing works and resolve to fast.
– Pronounce the following mantra at the time of fasting resolution.
Karishya s is Tvatparayana in Mahalakshmi fast.
Yatu Samuti Swatprasadat:
– That is, O Goddess, I will follow your Mahavrata in your service. This fast of mine is complete.
Saying this to Maa Lakshmi ji, tie the dora in the wrist of your hand, which has 16 knots.
– This fast is observed daily from Bhadrapada Shukla Ashtami to the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month.
After that, after the fast is completed on the 16th day, make a pavilion with a cloth and place the statue of Lakshmi in it.
– Sandalwood, palm leaf/ palm letter, floral garland, akshat, durva, red yarn, betel nut, coconut and maternal type are kept in the worship material of Mother.
– During the worship, keep the new yarn 16-16 16 times. After this, chant the following mantra.
Kshirodarnavasabhuta Lakshmishchandra Sahodara.
Vratonanet sattaa bhavatdvishnubalalabha.
– That is, Lakshmi, who appeared from Kshirsagar, siblings of the moon, Vishnuvallabha should be satisfied with this fast done by me.
– Bathing Shri Lakshmi with Panchamrit, then worship in 16 ways and give food to 4 Brahmins and 16 Brahmins by giving food.
– Thus this fast is completed.
– Mahalakshmi fast is used on the 16th day.
– If a fasting person is not able to observe this fast for 16 days for some reason, then it can only observe this fast for 3 days in which this fast is done on the first, 8th and 16th day.
