New Delhi: With its intriguing storyline and captivating performances by the lead cast, Citadel: Honey Bunny is winning the hearts of OTT lovers. Released on Wednesday (November 6, 2024) on Amazon Prime Video, the spy action series has become the internet’s new talking point with netizens going gaga over it. But did you know that Samantha and Varun Dhawan, who headline the show, were paid handsomely for their performances? Let us enlighten you.

According to a Koimoi report, the 37-year-old actor reportedly took home a staggering Rs 20 crore for Citadel: Honey Bunny. Yes, you read that right. However, the paycheck was not as high for Samantha. The 37-year-old actress is believed to have charged a jaw-dropping Rs 10 crore, making it one of the biggest remunerations she has received in her career.

The media outlet further stated that Kay Kay Menon was paid Rs 1.5 crore, while Saqib Saleem and Sikandar Kher received Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, respectively. However, there is no official confirmation about the same yet.

Citadel: Honey Bunny cast

The Raj & DK (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK) directorial also features Kashvi Majmundar, Simran Bagga, Thalaivaasal Vijay, Parmeet Sethi, Bhuvan Arora, Shashank Vyas and Shiva Rindani in pivotal roles. Executive produced by The Russo Brothers’ AGBO, Citadel: Honey Bunny was developed by Sita R Menon.

Its storyline revolves around a stuntman and a struggling actress who must reunite to protect their young daughter Nadia as their dangerous past catches up with them years later. Citadel: Honey Bunny is a spin-off/prequel to the American series Citadel, led by Priyanka Chopra.
