Shimla, 13 November (HS). Shimla Police has achieved great success in the campaign launched to stop drug smuggling. Police have arrested a smuggler with a consignment of hashish. Late on Tuesday evening, during patrolling near Ghund under Theog police station area, when the police stopped a pedestrian coming for search, he tried to run away. When the police personnel caught and searched him, one kilo 73 grams of hashish was recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Ghund, resident of Anukakshay (32).
Theog DSP Siddharth Sharma said on Wednesday that action is being taken by registering an FIR against the accused under the NDPS Act.
