Former US National Security Advisor Jake Sulivan has launched a scathing attack against India on the tariff war of Donald Trump. He has further warned that the move may lead to water on the years of efforts to bring New Delhi closer to Washington. With this, New Delhi is being forced to go with Beijing. Along with this, he said that China’s credibility is increasing while our American brand is seen in the toilet.

US disruptive, China reliable

Talking with Tim Miller at The Bulwark Podcast, Sulivan accused Trump of making the US a “big disruptive” at his associates. He said that today our allies see us as a disruptive country, today China has gone ahead of us in terms of popularity and permanent policies. He said that while Washington was considered a stable power, it is now considered incredible, while China’s credibility is increasing.

American brand is seen in toilet

He said, “When I now go to these places and talk to leaders, they are talking about reducing the risk from America. He now sees America as a disruptive country, which cannot be trusted. Today the situation is that China is a popular player globally, while our American brand is seen in toilet.”

Trump turned water on years of hard work?

Giving the example of India, he said that for the last several years, work was being done to make deep and sustainable relations with India. But Trump put a huge tariff on India, forcing India to sit with China. For us, China also stands in front as a challenge. But President Trump has launched a campaign against India. In such a situation, Indians believe that they should improve their relations with China, which they are doing.

Relations reached the lowest level

This statement of the former American officer has come at a time when relations between the two largest democratic countries in the world have reached the lowest level. The US has imposed an additional 25 per cent trade tariff and an additional 25 per cent tariff to buy Russian oil. India is constantly being targeted by the Trump administration. India has strongly opposed this. And to save the interests and sovereignty of our farmers, it is said to go to any extent.
