Sevadar beaten to death in Delhi’s Kalkaji temple

A sevadar was beaten to death with sticks and sticks on Friday night at the famous Kalkaji temple in Delhi. The CCTV footage of the incident has also been revealed, in which two youths were seen continuously showing poles on the sevadar lying in the unscrupulous sevadar. 3-4 youths were standing around. After carrying out the incident, everyone escaped from the spot.

Delhi Police said that the local people caught an accused on the spot and handed over to the police. He has been identified as Atul Pandey, 30, a resident of Dakshinpuri. The rest of the accused are being searched. He has not been identified yet.

According to the news agency ANI, the deceased serviceman was identified as 35 -year -old Yogesh Singh. He was a resident of Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh and was a serviceman in the Kalkaji temple for the last 14-15 years. The police received information about the incident on a PCR call at around 9:30 pm last night.

Police reached the spot. During interrogation of the local people, it was found that the accused had come to the Kalkaji temple for darshan. After darshan, he sought sardine and prasad to tie the head to the sevadar. During this time there was a debate between them. The dispute became violent and the youth beat the sevadar first with the punches and then sticks.

There was no movement in the body of the serviceman during the attack
The video of the attack showed that 4 to 5 youths were standing on the spot. Two of these youths had a stick in their hands. He attacked the sevadar lying on the ground, several times after another. During this time there was no movement in the body of the sevadar.

A young man present on the spot pulled an attacker towards him. Then the other attacker also left the stick and all fled from there. Throughout the incident, many devotees were seen in the temple campus, but no one came to stop the youths.

Delhi Police said that Sevadar was immediately taken to the AIIMS Trauma Center, where he died during treatment. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 103 (1)/3 (5) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
