Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said amid controversy over the US tariff that no country is a permanent friend or enemy. Only permanent interest is. Rajnath said this on Saturday at the NDTV Defense Summit.

He said that there are situations like trade war in the world. Developed countries are becoming increasingly conservationists. India does not consider anyone as its enemy, but we will not compromise on national interest and interests of the people.

This statement of Rajnath is being linked to the news of Trump’s close to India, Russia and China against the tariff. PM Modi has left Japan on a tour of China today. They will meet the President of both the countries at the SCO Summit here.

Singh said- India’s defense export 24 thousand crores

“The world is a witness to India’s defense capabilities. The way our forces have made accurate attacks on Pakistan with indigenous equipment, it shows that no mission can be successful without foresight and preparation.”
“Our defense exports in 2014 were less than Rs 700 crore. Today it has increased to about 24 thousand crores, which has reached a record level. It shows that India is no longer a buyer but is becoming an exporter.”
Air Force Deputy Chief Air Marshal Narmadeshwar Tiwari also attended this summit. He said, “The Indian Air Force fired less than 50 weapons to bring Pakistan to the ceasefire table.” It is very easy to start a war, but it is not as easy to end it.

America imposed 50% tariff on India, applicable from 27 August

US President Donald Trump has imposed a 50% tariff on India, which has come into force from 27 August. The Trump administration announced this tariff on August 6 as a fine on oil purchase from Russia. At the same time, I had imposed 25% tariff on India from August 7, citing trade deficit. Now the total tariff on Indian goods to be exported US will be up to 50%.

India is the largest buyer of Russian oil after China. For the last two years, India has been buying more than $ 130 billion (Rs 11.33 lakh crore) every year.
