Google Gemini app released for iOS; Here are the details
Google has recently dropped the Gemini app for iOS devices. Now, the iPhone users will be able to use the Google AI assistant as well. The latest app on the Apple App Store offers the basic functionalities of Gemini. And the competition has also become a little intense because the Gemini app works pretty similar to Apple’s own revamped Siri which is backed by Apple Intelligence and ChatGPT. As for the Gemini app, it does not rely on the Google app and works separately but you need a Google account to run the same.
Google Gemini app for iOS: What’s different and new?
First things first, Google Gemini app misses out on the iPhone Side button trigger functionality like Siri. But, a major difference here is that the offering by Google has the ability to hold human-like conversations that is missing in Siri. The features lets the users take pauses to add more information, use vocalization, change the flow of the conversation, and do a lot more than any other AI assistant offers at this point in time.
Another major highlight of the Google Gemini app for iOS is that it removes the need to visit the Google app every now and then to access the Google AI assistant. Talking about its working, the app uses Gemini UI on iOS and the home screen is pretty similar to what we see in the Android version of the application.
