Big blow for unemployed youth in Haryana, Election Commission ban on 5600 police recruitment, know what is the matter
Bad news has come for thousands of youth of Haryana who were dreaming of police recruitment. The Election Commission has put a stay on the recruitment of 5,600 constable posts released by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) on August 16, 2024. HSSC had released the Haryana Police constable recruitment advertisement on August 16 which included 4,000 male constable, 600 female constable and 1,000 IRB male constable posts. The last date of application for these posts was 24 September 2024. Only those candidates who have passed CET could apply for this recruitment process. Despite this, Haryana Staff Selection Commission had not yet started the further process.
Questions were raised by Congress on this recruitment process at the time of assembly elections. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had complained to the Election Commission that the government was trying to woo the youth by releasing the advertisement for this recruitment just before the assembly elections. Taking cognizance of this complaint of Congress, the Election Commission stopped the recruitment process with immediate effect. As a result, recruitment of TGT, PTI and Clerk has also been put on hold.
Big impact on the future of youth Haryana Police Recruitment
Haryana government has proposed a new CET exam in the state. After this, new candidates can also be eligible for Police Constable Recruitment through revised CET. At present lakhs of youth are waiting for the revised CET, hence their demand is that the recruitment process for the posts of police constable should be postponed until the new CET is completed. This will give opportunity to more candidates and they will also be able to compete for these posts.
After HSSC started the recruitment process of police constable, unemployed youth of Haryana had applied in large numbers. But now that the Election Commission has banned these recruitments, there is disappointment and anger among the candidates. He has demanded that the recruitment process should be started immediately after the elections are over so that their time is not wasted and they can get jobs soon.
Appointment of 250 clerks also stuck Haryana Police Recruitment
Apart from the recruitment of police constable, the appointment of selected candidates to the posts of clerk in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of Haryana is also on hold. The joining process of 250 candidates selected in this department has not been completed yet whereas clerks have been appointed in other departments. Departmental officials say that their joining has been stopped due to no clear order being received from HSSC. This delay has increased the problems of the candidates.
