Dhaka: A big statement has come out from Bangladesh after India’s announcement to take revenge on Pakistan in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. A colleague of former Bangladesh military officer and leading caretaker Mohammad Yunus has made a ridiculous statement to attack and capture the North-East states of India in such a situation. Former Major General of Bangladesh has given this controversial statement on his Facebook post.

Mohammad Yunus’s ally said, “If India attacks Pakistan to avenge Pahalgam, Dhaka should attack with China to attack its northeastern states.” This is the same Bangladesh, which India produced. Whatever Bangladesh is today, it is on the basis of India. The foundation of Bangladesh rests on the mercy of India. But today the same Bangladesh has started dreaming of Mungeri Lal to capture the states of India.

Former Major General of Bangladesh made a statement

This controversial statement of occupying the states of North-East of India has been made by former Major General ALM Fazalur Rahman of Bangladesh. Who is very close to Mohammad Yunus. His statement has come to light at a time when India is preparing to pay his account from the responsibilities of the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 innocent people lost their lives in this terrorist attack. The terrorists from Pakistan shot Hindus by asking religion with the help of local helpers. Now a former Bangladesh military officer and a close aide of Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has suggested retired Major General Fazalur Rahman that if India attacks Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, Dhaka should join China with China. However, Yunus’s interim government has removed itself from the comments made by Fazalur Rahman.

Bangladesh’s Foreign Ministry cleaned

The Bangladesh Foreign Ministry said in a media release on Friday over the controversial statement of its former military general, “The comments do not reflect the status or policies of the Bangladesh government and the government neither supports nor in its favor in any form or manner.” According to the report of the Dhaka Tribune newspaper, it also states that the Bangladesh government has urged all the concerned parties to avoid connecting the state with the personal views expressed by Rahman. The Ministry of External Affairs stressed that Bangladesh is strongly committed to sovereignty, regional integrity, mutual respect and the principles of peaceful co-existence of all countries.

Fazalur Rahman posted a post on Facebook

Fazalur Rahman did this disputed post on the Facebook page on Tuesday. He wrote, “If India attacks Pakistan, Bangladesh should capture seven northeastern states of India in collaboration with China.” “I think it is necessary to start a discussion with China on a joint military system in this regard,” he said. Rahman has served important positions under Younus’s interim government, as he was appointed as the Chairman of the National Independent Commission in December 2024, which was tasked to investigate the killings in the 2009 Bangladesh Rifles Rebellion.

Yunus also gave anti -India statements

Apart from this, the top leadership of Bangladesh has also made many anti -India comments in recent times. In March, Younus himself said during his visit to China that the seven northeastern states of India are surrounded by the sea in Bangladesh, which share a border of about 1,600 km with Dhaka and they have no way to reach the sea apart from their country. Yunus had said that Dhaka is the “only patron” in the Indian Ocean in the region. He invited Beijing to send goods around the world through Bangladesh. (Input-PTI)
