Former Chief Justice of Bangladesh Mohammad Fazlul Karim passes away
Dhaka, 16 November (HS). Former Chief Justice of Bangladesh Mohammad Fazlul Karim (81 years) died early today at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital Dhaka. He served as the Chief Justice of Bangladesh from February 8, 2010 to September 29, 2010. He has also been the Chairman of Bangladesh Judicial Service Pay Commission.
According to the Dhaka Tribune newspaper, Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed expressed deep grief over the demise of Justice Fazlul Karim. The Supreme Court Reporters Forum has also expressed its condolences.
Justice Fazlul Karim was born on September 30, 1943 in Suchakradandi village of Patiya Upazila, Chittagong. He obtained LLB degree from Dhaka University in 1964. Started his career as a lawyer in Chittagong District Judge Court in 1965.
