Bank Holidays in September 2025: In September this year, there will be a holiday of banks in different states of the country for a total of 15 days. Apart from 4 Sundays and 2 Saturday holidays in September 2025, there will be a total of 9 holidays of different local festivals. Here we will know on which day there will be a holiday of banks in your state.

4 Sundays and 2 Saturdays will be holiday in September

In September 2025, all banks of the country will be discharged due to 7, 14, 21 and 28th on Sunday. Apart from this, on September 13, the second Saturday of the month and the fourth Saturday of the month on September 27 will be, due to which all banks will remain closed in the entire country. Apart from these, banks will be discharged on 3, 4, 5, 6, 12, 22, 23, 29 and 30 September due to different local festivals in different states of the country.

When the banks will be closed in your state

  • On September 3, on the occasion of Karam Puja, all the banks of Jharkhand will be discharged.
  • On September 4, all the banks in the state of Kerala will remain closed on the occasion of Onam.
  • On September 5, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad/Milad-un-Nabi, all banks in Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Delhi, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh will be holiday.
  • On September 6, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad/Milad-un-Nabi, all the banks of Sikkim will be discharged on the occasion of Chhattisgarh and Indra Jatra.
  • On September 12, on the occasion of the next Jumme of Eid-e-Milad/Milad-un-Nabi, all banks in Jammu and Kashmir will be holiday.
  • On September 22, all the banks of Rajasthan will be closed on the occasion of establishment of Navratri.
  • On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Maharaj Hari Singh ji on 23 September, all banks of Jammu and Kashmir will be holiday.
  • On September 29, all the banks of Tripura, Assam and West Bengal will remain closed on the occasion of Maha Saptami/Durga Puja.
  • On the occasion of Mahashtami/Durga Ashtami/Durga Puja on 30 September, all banks of Tripura, Odisha, Assam, Manipur, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand will be holiday.

Banks will be closed for 3 consecutive days in these states

On 28, 29 and 30 September in Tripura, Assam and West Bengal, all banks will be discharged for 3 consecutive days. While Sunday is Sunday, the festival of Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami/Durga Puja will be celebrated on 29th and 30th.
