Air India flight AI2913 (A-320 Neo aircraft) going from Delhi to Indore was returned to Delhi. The pilot was reported to be fire in the right engine.
Air India said- Plane flew with 90 passengers at 6.15 am on Sunday. After about half an hour, fire indication was found in the engine. The pilot turned off the engine under the standard process. Later safe landing took place at the plane’s airport.
The airline said that ground inspection of the plane would be done. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also been informed about the incident.
On August 29, there was an emergency landing of SpiceJet coming from Delhi to Srinagar. Officials had said that in flight SG 385, due to the problem of pressure, it was safe at Srinagar Airport at 3.27 pm.
August 28: Ahmedabad land was going to Dubai
On August 28, an Indigo flight going from Surat to Dubai had to divert at Ahmedabad Airport due to technical fault in the middle flight. There were about 150 passengers in the aircraft.
Officials had said that the flight had left from Surat at 9.30 am. Around 11 o’clock, it was safe in Ahmedabad. However, it was not an emergency landing, but a precautionary measure was diverted.
Later, the airline provided a second aircraft to send passengers to Dubai, which flew to Dubai at 1.45 pm. The aircraft which faced the problem was technically investigated.
At the same time, Civil Aviation Minister K.K. Rammohan Naidu said on August 30 that the government would now take the help of international experts to resolve the issue of restrictions on the height of buildings near the airports.
Civil Aviation Minister K.K. Rammohan Naidu said that for this, study will be done with the United Nations agency ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).
The minister said that air security is the biggest priority of the government, but along with this, real estate development around the airport is also necessary. With the help of new technology, a balance between the two can be created.
He said that in the last 11 years, the number of airports in the country has increased from 88 to 162. The government aims to build 50 new airports in the next 5 years. India has the capacity to build more than 350 airports in future.
Naidu also said that the government is also working on a plan to develop Arrow-Tropolis (Airport City) around the airports.
