Without naming Rahul, Rijiju speaks-they do not want discussion
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju said without naming Rahul Gandhi that if the leader of a party is not interested in debate or discussion and only wants to do political drama, then the opposition is being harmed, not the government.
Rijiju said- MPs have come to raise the voice of the public
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rijiju was addressing the organization of lawyers on the theme ‘Parliamentary System of the world’s largest democracy’ in Bengaluru on Saturday (August 30). He said, ‘I tell young MPs that when your leader asks you to create a ruckus in Parliament, they should oppose it. You have come to the Parliament to raise the voice of the people, not just to create a ruckus.
Opposition MPs threw paper towards the speaker’s chair
On August 12, the opposition created a ruckus in Parliament demanding discussion on Bihar SIR (Special Intensive Revision i.e. Voter List Verification) in both houses. Due to this, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were postponed. At 4:30 pm, there was a ruckus as soon as the proceedings of the Lok Sabha started.
Opposition MPs tore the paper and threw the speaker towards the chair. During this, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal was running the proceedings of Sadan. He said- was pointed out by the Deputy Leader (Opposition). After this, the paper was tearing and thrown towards the chair.
On this, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said- You have dropped the dignity of the House. The country will not forgive you. People of your area will be sad to you.
On August 11, 300 MPs of the opposition took out a march from Parliament to the Election Commission office on the allegation of voter verification and vote theft in the election. During this period, many opposition MPs including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav were detained in the Lok Sabha. The police took him to Parliament Street Police Station, from where it was released after 2 hours.
After being detained, Rahul said that this is a fight to save the constitution. This is a person-one vote fight, so we need a clean voter list. At the same time, Priyanka Gandhi said that this government is scared and coward.
During March, Akhilesh tried to move forward by trapping barricading. When the MPs were not allowed to go forward, they sat on the ground. Many MPs including Priyanka, Dimple were seen shouting slogans of ‘Vote Chor Gaddi Chhoti’.
