Russia completes 1000 days of Ukraine war
Moscow: Now 1000 days have passed since the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, but till now there is no sign of the war stopping. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that the coming year 2025 will be decisive in determining who wins the war started by Russia almost three years ago. Ukraine attacked a military base in Russia’s Bryansk border region with long-range ATACMS missiles received from the US. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukraine attacked with six ballistic missiles at 3:25 am local time on Tuesday.
The attack came a day after the Biden administration gave Ukraine permission to attack. Let us tell you that Ukraine had been seeking permission from America to use these missiles for a long time and US President Joe Biden approved this decision to Ukraine just two months before the end of his term and Zelensky’s army launched ballistic missile attacks on Russia. Missiles were fired.
Putin’s sharp attitude, nuclear doctrine amendment approved
In a clear message to the US and the rest of the West in response to Ukraine’s invasion, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday approved a revision to his nuclear doctrine amid the ongoing war with Ukraine. This new Russian policy broadens the scope of when Moscow can use nuclear weapons. The new policy also allows Russia to use its nuclear weapons in retaliation in the event of an external attack. In such a situation, Russia can now use nuclear weapons at any time in response to ballistic missiles.
Continuous attacks in Russia and Ukraine
Before Ukraine’s attack, Russia carried out an airstrike on Ukrainian residential areas for the third time in the last three days, killing 12 people, including a child. Ukraine’s rescue service officials said Tuesday that 11 people, including two children, were injured in a drone strike in the Sumy region. Let us tell you that 1,000 days have passed since Russia’s attack on Ukraine and this war can now take a new turn. The eyes of the entire world will now be focused on this war to see where it will go.
Ukraine eyes America, will Trump end the war?
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russia’s war in Ukraine will end “rapidly” when Donald Trump becomes US president. National security analyst Beth Sanner says Zelensky is signaling to the incoming president that he is willing to negotiate.
After winning the elections in America, Donald Trump has continuously said that his priority is to end the war. During the election campaign, the former president-elect repeatedly pledged to end the war “in one day” – but he has yet to reveal how he intends to do so.
“It is certain that the war will soon end with the policies of the team that will now lead the White House,” Zelensky said in an interview with Ukrainian media outlet Szpilne. This is his vision, his promise to his citizens.”
