New Delhi: A high-level delegation along with Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind to meet the victims suffering from Assam reached Assam today. The delegation visited the relief camps where the homeless families have taken refuge due to bulldo functions.

The delegation has so far completed the journey of about 300 km and visited several affected areas and met the victim families. Maulana Madani especially interacted with the people at the Baitbari camp.

What did Maulana Madani say?

Maulana Madani said on the occasion, our fight is not against the removal of encroachment, but to ignore the orders of the judiciary and to make people homeless and use fear, threats and strength instead of law is against both justice and humanity. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has always stood with the Majloom and will stand forward. For this, we are ready to face the gallows. This has been a bright and inspiring tradition of our elders. “
