In India’s neighboring country Afghanistan, a strong tremor of earthquake was felt late on Sunday night. Many earthquake tremors occurred till Sunday morning. This has caused a lot of destruction. So far, more than 800 people have been reported to have been killed. In such a situation, India has sent help to Afghanistan. 1000 family tents and 15 tonnes of food items have been sent by India. At the same time, more quantity of relief and rescue materials will be sent by India in the coming days.

Giving information on the social media platform, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar wrote, “Today, he spoke to Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Maulvi Amir Khan Muttki. He expressed his condolences on the loss of life and property in the earthquake. It is said that India has transported tents to 1000 families in Kabul today. Indian mission will also have a quantity of 15 tonnes from Kabul. I wish the injured to recover early. India is with Afghanistan in this difficult time. “

PM Modi expressed grief

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep grief over the loss of life and property in Afghanistan on Monday and said that India is ready to provide all possible human assistance and relief to the affected people. A Taliban government spokesperson said that at least 800 people have been killed, 1,300 injured and several villages have been destroyed in the earthquake in the eastern side of Afghanistan. Late on Sunday, a 6.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in several towns of Kunar province near Jalalabad city of neighboring Nanghar province. Modi wrote on X, “The loss of life and property in Afghanistan has suffered deeply. In this difficult time, our sensations and prayers are with bereaved families, and we wish the injured to get well soon. India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian aid and relief to the people affected.”
