Farmer dies under suspicious circumstances, wife and lover arrested
Palpal correspondent, Jabalpur. Police have arrested the wife and her lover in the case of death of a farmer under suspicious circumstances in village Maniyari Kala Panagar area of Jabalpur, MP. The family members alleged in the case that the woman killed her husband with the help of her lover and gave it the appearance of suicide.
In this regard, police officials said that farmer Vijay Pradhan died under suspicious circumstances four days ago in village Maniyari Kala. As soon as the news of Vijay’s death was received, police officers reached the spot and saw that there were marks of rope being tied around Vijay’s neck. Wife Lalita told the police during interrogation that husband Vijay committed suicide by hanging himself. The family members alleged that a few days before Vijay’s death, Lalita had beaten him badly with a stick. Neighbors had made a video of this. The family members gave the said video to the police and demanded strict action. The family members had also alleged that Lalita beats Vijay badly on a daily basis.
During interrogation, the family members also informed the police that in the ration card made by Lalita, her and her two daughters’ names were written but not her husband’s. Apart from this, Lalita wrote the names of herself and her lover Rakesh on the heart-shaped marble, which was kept in her room. When Vijay tried to throw him, both of them together beat Vijay Pradhan. When Vijay was not at home, Rakesh kept coming home. Many times he caught both of them red-handed in the house; Vijay even had a fight with his wife Lalita at home. In the same case, Vijay’s niece Shabnam alleged that maternal uncle Vijay had 8 acres of land which was gradually sold.
Now uncle was working in someone else’s field. Aunt Lalita sold land worth lakhs of rupees in the name of uncle’s medicine. Gave the money to her lover Rakesh Burman. Both of them used to go to Jabalpur and other places on bike many times. When the uncle objected, he was beaten. Lalita had bought the bike to Rakesh. Shabnam told that on the day of the incident, Lalita had sent both the daughters to their grandmother in the adjacent house, saying that both of them should sleep there tonight.
Even after this, on the evening of the incident, she had given vegetables to her mother-in-law to eat. Sleeping pills were mixed in the vegetable given to the mother-in-law, due to which the mother-in-law did not wake up in the morning. Vijay’s family alleges that the next day on Friday, around 6 am, Lalita came out of her house and informed the neighbors about the suicide of her husband Vijay Pradhan. When the neighbors saw, there were marks on Vijay’s neck. The body was lying on the ground.
As soon as the news was received, Panagar police reached them, during interrogation, wife Lalita told that Vijay died by hanging himself with the help of a rope from the window. Police investigation found that the height of the window was only four feet. Not only this, Lalita was also present in the same room when Vijay died. Even after this he did not try to save Vijay.
