Aryveer Sehwag was purchased at a huge price of Rs 9 lakh in the Delhi Premier League 2025 auction. He made his DPL debut against East Delhi Riders on 27 August. In this match, Aryveer may have scored only 22 runs in 16 balls, but he made a lot of headlines by putting four consecutive fours and loft drives on the off side.
DPL 2025 final highlight
Talking about the match, Batting first in the title battle, Central Delhi Kings overcame 173/7 in 20 overs, recovering from the initial tremors. Couple Saini (65) and Pranshu Vijayran (50 not out) played an important partnership of 78 runs for the seventh wicket. For Lions, Manan Bhardwaj and Shivank Vashistha took two wickets each, while captain Nitish Rana also bowled economically and took one wicket for just 16 runs in four overs.
In response, West Delhi Lions, chasing the target, ate the initial shocks, but captain Nitish Rana played amazing captaincy innings. He scored an unbeaten 79 runs and won his team by six wickets. With this victory, West Delhi Lions won the DPL 2025 trophy.
