The high speed bus going from Patna to Kolkata lost control and overturned, 7 people died, more than 25 injured
Hazaribagh. A passenger bus went out of control and overturned on Thursday morning in Gorhar police station area of Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. Seven people died in this accident and more than 25 people are said to be injured. The number of dead has not been officially confirmed yet. More than 25 people have been injured. All the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
According to the information, the bus was going from Kolkata to Patna. At around 6.30 in the morning, the bus went out of control and overturned near a pit. Most of the passengers were sleeping. There was screaming after the accident. People nearby reached the spot and after this the police was informed.
The passengers were taken out by breaking the windows of the crashed bus. Three people died on the spot, while four others died on the way to the hospital. Soil has been cut at many places for the construction of six lanes on GT Road. Eyewitnesses say that due to a pothole at one place, the bus went out of control and overturned while changing lanes.
People say that the pace of construction of six lane road is very slow. At many places from Gorhar to Chauparan, the construction of pillars has been left incomplete for months. Potholes have been made at many places. Because of this, accidents are happening continuously on the road. As soon as information about the accident was received, a large number of forces including DSP Ajit Kumar Vimal, Gorhar police station in-charge, Barka police station in-charge reached the spot. At present relief and rescue work is going on.
