Karnataka: Siddaramaiah government will reinstate wrongly canceled BPL cards.

Bengaluru. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that the state government will re-issue the wrongly canceled BPL cards. While talking to the media agency, he assured the people and said that there is nothing to worry about. He told that the Center has set some standards for BPL families and his government is working on the basis of the same. If the BPL cards of eligible families have been canceled by mistake, they will be reissued.

Speaking to the agency, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said, the Center has set some standards for BPL families and our government is working on the basis of the same. If the BPL cards of eligible families have been canceled then they will be re-issued. There is opposition in some areas regarding this and we will resolve it. Review to remove ineligible beneficiaries is ongoing.
When asked why physical verification was not done during the cancellation of BPL cards, he said, corrective measures will be implemented to rectify the errors. He further said, the Chief Minister has given instructions to the concerned minister. We will send the list of canceled cards to all the MLAs. The Guarantee Implementation Committee will be tasked with visiting households and resolving any mistakes in cancellation of BPL cards.

What did Shivkumar say on Siddaramaiah’s visit to Delhi?

Shivkumar reacted to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s visit to Delhi. He clarified that the visit was related to the launch of Nandini Milk and has no political connection. Deputy CM said, Chief Minister is going to the national capital Delhi for the launch of Nandini Milk. I was also scheduled to attend it, but I am going to Murdeshwar for Fisherman’s Day celebrations. Farmers will benefit from the expansion of Nandini brand. This visit is only related to development, it has no political objective. Shivkumar also responded to the question asked regarding the encounter of the Naxal leader. He said, the Home Minister will comment on the protests by Left parties against the encounter of Naxalite leader Vikram Gowda.

Every card character- Muniyappa

Karnataka Minister KH Muniyappa said that we have decided that no card (BPL and APL) will be cancelled. Every card is eligible.
