Jabalpur. Unknown thieves attacked the house of a retired Assistant Commandant in the Gwarighat police station area of ​​MP Jabalpur at 5 am on Thursday 21st November. The thieves escaped from here with jewelery and cash worth lakhs of rupees. Retired RPF officer Vivek Sharma had gone to Delhi to attend the wedding with his family. During that time, the thieves found the house empty and carried out the theft.

On information, Gwarighat police station reached the house of retired Assistant Commandant in the afternoon and started searching for unknown thieves on the basis of evidence found on the spot. According to the information, Vivek Sharma had gone to Delhi with his family about four days ago, since then the house was locked.

According to the information, on Thursday afternoon, the eyes of the people living nearby fell on the bungalow of retired Assistant Commandant Vivek Sharma. During that time the front doors were broken. People immediately informed Vivek Sharma over the phone. On receiving the information, Gwarighat police station in-charge RS Marawi along with staff and dog Scott, finger print team reached the spot and started investigation.

Police have found in the preliminary investigation that the thieves spent a lot of time in the house and carried out the theft with great ease. It is not yet clear how much was stolen. But the way the cupboard kept in the house was found broken, it is suspected that thieves have escaped with jewelery and cash worth lakhs of rupees. The thieves were so clever that before committing the theft they had taken out the DVR of the CCTV camera. Police have also informed Vivek Sharma’s son who lives in Jhansi about the incident.
