Bhopal. The effect of cold has increased in Madhya Pradesh. The temperature in all the cities of the state fell below 15 degrees on the night of Wednesday-Thursday. The minimum temperature recorded in Bhopal was 10.2 degrees, which was the third lowest temperature in November in the last 10 years. That means, this night was the third coldest night. Earlier in 2017 the mercury had reached 9.6 degrees and in 2022 it had reached 10.2 degrees. It was 13.9 degrees in Indore and 11.5 degrees in Ujjain. In both the cities, the temperature was lower than last year.
It was 7.8 degrees in Pachmarhi. Pachmarhi is the only hill station of the state. Both day and night are coldest here throughout November. Similarly, it was 9.1 degrees in Mandla, 9.8 degrees in Umaria, 10 degrees in Naugaon-Rajgarh, 10.4 degrees in Rewa, 10.6 degrees in Satna, 10.8 degrees in Balaghat, 11 degrees in Raisen, 11.2 degrees in Guna, 12 degrees in Khajuraho, Tikamgarh. 12.1 degrees in Khandwa, 12.4 degrees in Damoh The temperature was recorded at 12.6 degrees, 12.7 degrees in Betul and 12.8 degrees in Khargone.
The mercury is below normal in 28 cities including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior-Ujjain. Similar weather will continue for the next few days. There was fog in many districts of Gwalior, Chambal and Rewa divisions on Thursday morning. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there was moderate fog in Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Sheopur, Morena, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna and Rewa on Thursday morning. There is fog in Bhopal also in the morning. There is visibility of 1 to 2 kilometers here. There is similar weather in the capital for the last 5 days.
Bhopal is colder than last year
In 5 big cities of the state – Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Ujjain, the night temperature is below normal i.e. 15 degrees. This time it is more cold in Bhopal than last year. Here last year in November the night temperature reached only 12.8 degrees. The temperature was recorded at 11 degrees on the night of Tuesday-Wednesday. This is the seventh lowest temperature of November in 10 years.
