Georgetown (Guyana), November 22 (HS). Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for New Delhi after completing his three-nation tour of Nigeria, Brazil and Guyana. Guyana’s top leadership gave him an emotional farewell at the airport. Prime Minister Modi started his tour from Nigeria. After this he reached Brazil to participate in the G-20 summit. Then from there he traveled to Guyana.

Prime Minister Modi got a lot of respect in Nigeria and Guyana. Both countries honored the Prime Minister with their highest honour. After 17 years, an Indian Prime Minister visited Nigeria. After almost 50 years, an Indian Prime Minister visited Guyana for the first time. He was given a guard of honor in Guyana.

Prime Minister Modi addressed the National Assembly in Guyana. In this historic address he stressed the need for cooperation in space and maritime sectors. Also gave the message of giving priority to cooperation instead of conflict. Prime Minister Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Parliament of Guyana.

On this occasion, he recalled the strong relations between India and Guyana. Appreciated the shared democratic values ​​and human-centric approach of both the countries. He thanked the people of Guyana for conferring on him the country’s highest honour. He reiterated India’s commitment to peace and cooperation.
