1.5 lakh crore rupees are being invested in 10 semiconductor projects

The PM said in his address, “In the year 2021, we started the Semcon India program. By the year 2023, India’s first semiconductor plant was approved. In 2024, we approved additional plants. In 2025, we approved five additional projects. Overall, more than Rs 1.5 lakh crore is being invested in the world in India.

Sure to become the third largest economy in the world

PM Modi said that India is continuously moving forward in the semiconductor sector and is sure to become the world’s third largest economy in the world. The PM said that the power of the 21st century is in a small chip. In Semicon India 2025, Prime Minister Modi said, “A few days ago, the first quarter GDP figures have come. Once again, India has performed better than every hope, every assessment. At a time when there are concerns in the world economy, there are challenges created by economic selfishness, India has achieved 7.8 percent growth rate.”

Ashwini Vaishnav presented the first chip in India

At the beginning of the program, Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav presented the first chip made in India to PM Modi. Ashwini Vaishnav presented Vikram 32-bit processor to PM Modi and test chips of four approved projects. Let us tell you that more than 2500 delegates from more than 48 countries will participate in Semicon India 2025. Apart from these, more than 20,750 participants, including more than 150 speakers and more than 350 exhibitions, will participate in this program along with more than 50 global personalities. It will have round tables discussions of 6 countries and will be pavilions of countries.
