New Delhi, 22 November (HS). BMW India, the Indian unit of German luxury car manufacturing company BMW, has announced to increase the prices of all its models by three percent. The company said that the new rates will be effective from January 1, 2025.

The company said in a statement issued on Friday that the prices of all its models will increase by up to three percent. BMW India said the new rates will be applicable from January 1, 2025. However, the company has not explained in detail the reasons due to which there is a need to increase the prices of its cars.

BMW India’s locally manufactured car range includes the 2-Series Gran Coupe, 3-Series Long Wheelbase, 5-Series Long Wheelbase, 7-Series Long Wheelbase, X1, X3, X5, X7 and the M340i. The company also sells models like the i4, i5, i7, i7 M70, iX1, BMW iX, Z4 M40i, M2 Coupe as completely built units (CBUs).

It is noteworthy that last week Mercedes-Benz had announced to increase the prices of all its models in India by three percent from January 1, 2025, citing increase in input costs and higher operating expenses. Prices of Mercedes-Benz cars in India will increase from Rs 2 lakh for the GLC to Rs 9 lakh for the top Mercedes-Maybach S 680 luxury limousine.
