Zimbabwe’s squad announced for T20I series against Sri Lanka, Sean Williams and Brendon Taylor return
Zim vs Sl T20i Series: On Wednesday, September 03, a three -match T20 series between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka is to be played for which the hosts Zimbabwe have announced their 16 -member squad. Significantly, the team has returned to experienced players like Sean Williams and Brendan Taylor.
Zimbabwe Cricket itself shared a tweet with his official X account and informed the fans. He has stated in his official statement that the team’s star all -rounder Sean Williams, who played his last T20 International against Bangladesh on May 12, 2024, is part of the team for the T20 series against Sri Lanka.
Not only Sean Williams, 39 -year -old wicketkeeper Barendon Taylor has also been selected in the team, who is going to play the format for the country after about 4 years. He played his last T20 match against Pakistan in the year 2021.
Apart from these two experienced players, Brand Evans and Tadivanashe Marumani have also been selected in the squad. At the same time, Pneumon Nyamuri, Wesley Madhevi, Vincent Maskesa and Tafadzwa Tsing are some players who have not found a place in the team for the T20 series with Sri Lanka. All these players were part of the Zimbabwe Squad in the T20 tri -series with New Zealand and South Africa last month.
