‘Shubman Gill is taken for marketing and business in Asia Cup’, Robin Uthappa also provoked Gill’s selection

Now it is almost certain that they will be included in the final XI but many cricket pundits and former cricketers believe that the Indian team has made a mistake by including Gill in the team and former Indian star Robin Robin Uthappa believes the same. Uthappa believes that Gill has not been included in the team only due to cricket related reasons.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Robin Uthappa said that Shubman Gill’s selection has created a problem for Team India. Uthappa said, “He has created a problem for himself by bringing Shubman in T20 cricket in T20 cricket. But I also think from the perspective of Indian cricket that you have always been a superstar and he has supported a special player for the sake of Indian cricket and I think the same story is still being followed.”

He further said, “I think marketing and business aspects will also be given priority and I think it is also an important part. That is why they have been included in the team. You want some superstar to take the game forward and Shubman Gill will be one of them.”
