Lungi Angidi broke Morne Morkel’s record by taking a special wicket of Joe Root, included in this special list against England

This wicket was very special for him as Angidi completed his 16 wickets in ODIs against England and overtook Morne Morkel (15 wickets).

Ngidi has now reached seventh in the list of South African bowlers who took the most wickets in ODIs against England. The top of this list is Sean Pollock, who took 40 wickets in 30 matches against England. He is followed by Allen Donald (31 wickets), Jacques Kallis (25 wickets), Kagiso Rabada (22 wickets), Makhaya NTney (20 wickets) and Wayne Parnell (17 wickets).

Significantly, Ngidi achieved this achievement in just 11 matches, while Morkel had 14 matches. This wicket not only gave a big blow to the opposing team, but also achieved in individual records.
