South Africa’s left arm spinner Keshav Maharaj made history in the first ODI against England on Tuesday (2 September) in the first ODI at Hadingley, Leeds. The left -handed spinner held the English batsmen completely with his accurate bowling and assumed the hosts for just 131 runs. This is England’s fourth lowest score against South Africa.

After winning the toss in the match, the decision to bowl first went to South Africa. For South Africa, Keshav Maharaj and Vian Mulder bowled deadly. Maharaj took 4 wickets for 22 runs in 5.3 overs, while Mulder took 3 wickets for 33 runs in 7 overs.
