Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah said, ‘Pahalgam terrorist attack cannot take place without local support. Because how the terrorists came there, this question remains even today. Some local has definitely helped them.

Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has raised strong objection to Abdullah’s statement. He wrote on social media X that such a statement by Farooq Abdullah can become a threat to Kashmiri people living in the rest of the country.

He said- This will give some media channels a chance to discredit Kashmiris and Muslims.

In fact, there was a terrorist attack on 22 April in Baysaran Valley of Pahalgam. 26 tourists lost their lives in this.

I said, do not leave Maulana Azhar; Sindhu water treaty should be reviewed

Farooq Abdullah described the Pahalgam attack as a security lapse. He said, ‘When India left Maulana Masood Azhar in 1999, I said do not leave, but no one listened to me. Azhar knows Kashmir. He has made his way and knows what he will also have a hand in the Pahalgam attack.
Farooq Abdullah also demanded a review of the Indus Water Treaty. He said that water is ours, so the right to use should also be ours. In Jammu, there was a plan to bring water from Chenab on the lack of water, but the World Bank did not cooperate. Now work should start again. He further said that India is Gandhi’s country. We have threatened Pakistan that we will stop their water, but we will not kill them. We are not as cruel as them.
Farooq met Adil’s family
Farooq Abdullah went to the house of Adil Hussain, who was killed in the Pahalgam attack and met the family and paid tribute. He said that Adil has been martyred. He did not run away from the terrorists, but fought firmly. This is humanity and Kashmiriyat.

Actually, Adil Pony was working as a ride operator. Adil was also among the 26 people who died in the Pahalgam terror attack. All tourists except Adil were.
