Light rain has been going on in Delhi-NCR for the past several days. At the same time, due to rain, there is relief from the scorching heat of the people. There is no possibility of relief from rain on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Delhi and surrounding areas. During this time, clouds will also be covered in the sky. According to the Meteorological Department, there has been a possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR till May 8. During this time, strong winds are also expected to move. However, sunlight is likely to bloom after this. The temperature in Delhi-NCR is expected to increase after May 8.

Alert in many districts of UP

Apart from this, if we talk about UP, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds in many districts here too. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in UP till May 10. During this time there is a possibility of rain in all areas of the state. The districts of UP where warnings regarding rain have been issued include Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra and Meerut. Warning of strong rains and thunderstorms has been given in all these places. The wind speed is expected to be 30–40 km per hour.

In view of the storm and heavy rains in UP, CM Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials of the concerned districts to conduct relief work with full vigor. In case of any kind of damage, immediate grace amount should be distributed. The Chief Minister directed that the officers should survey and assess the crop loss and send the report to the government, so that further action can be taken in this regard. He has also directed that in the event of waterlogging, drainage should be arranged with priority.

Red alert in Uttarkashi

In Uttarakhand too, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rain in Uttarkashi district on 7 and 8 May. Along with this, a red alert has been issued for hailstorm with snowfall and lightning shining. Apart from this, Orange and Yellow alerts have been issued on 6, 7 and 8 May in other districts of Uttarakhand. Officers have been cautious keeping in mind the bad weather. Apart from this, a warning has been issued to get out of homes only when it is very necessary for ordinary citizens.

Rain in North-East states

At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in Northeast India. The Meteorological Department has predicted the weather to remain active in the northeastern states for the next one week. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in Assam and Meghalaya from May 6 to 8 and in many parts of Arunachal Pradesh from 6 to 7 May. During this time winds up to 50 km per hour can also move. Along with this, an alert has also been issued for the fall of sky lightning.
