India will launch 52 detective satellites in next five years, enemy countries including Pakistan
Satellite
New Delhi: While targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan, India has made the world realize its firepower, while it is also working fast on the plan to increase its defense capacity further. India will set up 52 satellites into orbit to increase space -based monitoring capabilities over the next five years. This information was given by Pawan Kumar Goenka, President of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authority Center (IN-Space) on Wednesday. He said that this step will see strong private participation in the private sector.
Monitoring capacity will increase
On the occasion of Global Space Exploration Conference 2025, Goenka said, “We already have strong capabilities. Just need to increase it continuously.” He said that the purpose of this scheme is to increase the monitoring capabilities of the defense sector. He said, “So far it has been mainly done by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). We will also include the private sector as well.”
Monitoring of boundaries, help will be available in military operations
He said that these detective satellites will help the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force monitor enemy activities, monitor borders and improve real -time coordination during military operations. Goenka said, “The private sector will manufacture half of the 52 satellides, while the rest of the satellites will be constructed by ISRO.” However, Goenka clarified that the decision to further increase the monitoring capabilities is taken by the Union Home Ministry and the Defense Forces.
Very important for defense forces
He said that ISRO Small Satellite Launch vehicle (SSLV) is also in the process of transferring technology to the private sector. SSLV has been developed to launch small satellites in the lower orbit of the Earth in a short time, which is very important for defense forces during emergency time. They are capable of launching satellites weighing 10–500 kg in a circular orbit of 500 km. Goenka said, “The transfer of SSLV technology is going to happen soon.” He indicated that it could be announced in the next fortnight. (Input-PTI)
