Father and uncle shot dead

In the information given to PTI, the daughter of the deceased Asavari said- When the firing started, we were 5 people in Basaron Valley near Pahalgam, including my parents. She, her mother and another female relatives survived and the security forces took her to Pahalgam Club. Asavari said that he does not know if his father and uncle survived or died in this attack.

On seeing them, everyone ran into the tent. 6-7 other tourists also arrived here. All lay on the ground to avoid firing. People were understanding that firing was going on between terrorists and security personnel. A group of terrorists first came into a nearby tent and started firing. After this, he again came to this tent and asked Santosh to come out of Jagdale. According to Asavari, the terrorists asked his father to read an Islamic verse (maybe Kalma). When he could not do so, the terrorists shot him three bullets. Asavari’s uncle was shot by four to five bullets by the terrorists. Many other men present on the spot were also shot.
