Ayodhya. For the first time after the consecration of Lord Shri Ram Lalla, a huge crowd of devotees gathered to perform 14 Kosi Parikrama in Ayodhya. A large number of devotees gathered late at night in the parikrama before the auspicious time. Chanting Jai Shri Ram, some devotees covered 42 kilometers in just five hours. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, administrative and police officers were seen inspecting throughout the night. To ensure that the pilgrims do not face any kind of trouble, senior officials also remained alert in the fair area throughout the night. According to the information received so far, about 30 to 35 lakh devotees are expected to do the parikrama.

Circumambulation of more than 5 thousand temples

This is the first time that devotees have circumambulated more than 5 thousand temples including the grand temple of Lord Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya. Arrangements for refreshments were made by various organizations for the devotees on the entire parikrama path. Apart from this, arrangements for rest houses and mobile toilets were also made by the Municipal Corporation. More than 150 changing rooms were built at various ghats.

Ayodhya remained filled with outside devotees

Seeing the importance of 14 Kosi Parikrama, a large number of outside devotees had reached Ayodhya. Apart from the districts of the division, devotees had also arrived from Nepal and other districts including Bahraich, Sitapur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Gonda, Prayagraj. Some devotees will return only after doing Panchkosi Parikrama on 12th November.

The fair went on all night, there was a lot of shopping

There was a huge crowd on the parikrama path from 11 pm to 7 am. During this time, one had to struggle to go from one track to another. Refreshment shops remained busy throughout the night in the fair area. To avoid any kind of trouble, barricading was done on all the lanes leading to 14 Kosi Path.

Many devotees took Saryu bath on Sunday morning before doing parikrama. After that, after seeing Hanumangarhi and Ramlala, took up parikrama. During this time, the crowd in both the temples increased so much that there was no space even to keep the sesame seeds.

More devotees arrived than last time

District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh said that as per the Muhurta, the Parikrama (14 Kosi Parikrama) has ended. This year all records were broken and maximum number of people had arrived. 30 to 35 lakh devotees are expected to circumambulate. Tight security arrangements were made. No untoward incident has been reported.
