Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the increase in dearness allowance of employees of public bodies and undertakings. Chief Minister Dhami has approved the current rate of dearness allowance from 455% to 466% for public bodies and undertakings employees in the fifth central pay scale from January 1, 2025 and has been approved to increase the current rate of dearness allowance from 246% to 252% from January 01, 2025 for employees of public bodies/undertakings in the sixth central pay scale.
Money will be available from January 1, 2025
According to the information, the government has increased the dearness allowance of government employees by 11 percent. This increase will be received from January 1, 2025. This will benefit millions of employees.
10 percent reservation in various government departments for firemen
Earlier, the Uttarakhand government on Monday announced 10 percent reservation in uniformed services of various government departments to retired firecrows from the Indian Army. The Department of Personnel and Vigilance on Monday formally issued rules for providing 10 percent horizontal reservation to the Army, Navy and Air Force retired firecrow for appointment to the posts of direct recruitment in government services of group “C” in the state. Under the rules, former firemen will be exempted from physical efficiency test in direct recruitment. They will also be exempted from the maximum age limit equal to the total service period in the form of Agniveer.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the recruitment of former firemen in government services after retirement from the army, after which the state cabinet approved the proposal last month. Important uniformed posts on which former firemen will be recruited will include Police Constable (Civil/PAC), Sub-Inspector (Civil Police), Platoon Commander (PAC), Fireman, Fire Officer II, Jailor in Home Department, Deputy Jailor, Forest Guard in Forest Department, Forest Inspector, Constable in Excise Department, Constable in Transport Department and Secretariat in Secretariat Administration.
