A total of 10 officers including 2 IAS and one PCS suspended, learn why CM Dhami took big action

Haridwar: A big action has been taken on the instructions of Chief Minister Dhami in the Haridwar Municipal Corporation land scam case of Uttarakhand. In this case, a total of ten officers including 2 IAS, one PCS have been suspended and the service expansion of 2 has been abolished.

What is this scam?

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed to suspend seven officers including two IAS, one PCS officer, taking a tough stance on the land scam in the Municipal Corporation Haridwar, in this case three officers have been suspended in the past, while two have been finished in the east. In this way, 10 officers have been suspended in this case so far.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered an inquiry into the case after questions were raised after questioning on purchasing an inappropriate 2.3070 hectares of land located near the garbage heap in Haridwar Municipal Corporation Dira village Sarai. After which Secretary Ranveer Singh Chauhan submitted a preliminary investigation of the case and submitted the report to the government on 29 May.

On the basis of this investigation report, the Chief Minister had directed the Personnel Department to take action against the guilty officers. On which the Department of Personnel and Vigilance issued orders to suspend all seven accused officers on Tuesday.

Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Personnel Department on Tuesday has given the then Administrator of Haridwar Municipal Corporation and current DM Kamendra Singh, then Municipal Commissioner Varun Chaudhary, then SDM Ajayvir Singh of Haridwar, Senior Finance Officer Nikita Bisht, Senior Personal Assistant Vicky, Registrar Kanungo Rajesh Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer Kamaldas of Haridwar Tehsil.

• Varun Chaudhary – The then Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Haridwar (suspended)
• Ajayvir Singh- Eyewell, Sub Divisional Officer Haridwar (suspended)
• Nikita Bisht – Senior Finance Officer, Municipal Corporation Haridwar (suspended)
• Vicky – Senior Personal Assistant (suspended)
• Rajesh Kumar – Registrar Kanungo, Tehsil Haridwar (suspended)
• Kamaldas – Chief Administrative Officer, Tehsil Haridwar (suspended)

CM’s statement surfaced

CM Dhami said, ‘Our government has clarified from day one in public service, not “duties’ and ‘accountability’ is important, no matter how senior the person is, if he disregards public interest and rules, then action is certain.
