Aamir Khan’s stars will be able to see on the ground from this date on YouTube, every house will be built by public theater
Aamir Khan has taken a historic step in the world of Indian cinema. His new blockbuster film ‘Stars Zameen Par’ will now be released directly after theaters from 1 August 2025 on YouTube movies-on-demand. This is the first time that a film will be available only on an open platform like YouTube immediately after release. Viewers in India will be able to rent it for just Rs 100, while in 38 countries like America, UK, Australia it will be available with local pricing.
The film is considered to be the 2007 hit ‘Taare Zameen Par’, including Aamir Khan, along with Genelia D’Souza and 10 Intellectual Disabled Artists. Even before its release, the film has grossed 250 crores worldwide. But now Aamir’s dream is – every screen became theater and every person audience.
Aamir Khan said, “For 15 years I was trying to reach out to those who cannot go theater. It has now been possible with systems like YouTube, Internet and UPI. If this method is successful, the face of cinema will change in the world.”
The film will be released in many languages with subtitles and dubbing so that viewers from all over the world can watch it according to their own. Gunjan Soni, Country Director of YouTube India, said, “It is not just a film release, but YouTube is laying a global red carpet for Indian cinema.”
After this film directed by RS Prasanna, Aamir Khan Lahore is also working on other films like 1947 and Ek Din. YouTube is now becoming Bollywood’s favorite digital platform not only for trailer and songs, but also for full-flashed movie release.
