AAP government's policies are the cause of pollution in Delhi: Virendra Sachdeva

New Delhi, November 14 (IANS). The average air quality index (AQI) in the national capital New Delhi was recorded at 430 on Thursday morning, which falls in the severe category. At the same time, the average AQI was recorded at 349 on Wednesday. Due to this, there is a lot of smog in the city. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva has held the ruling Aam Aadmi Party responsible for this.

Speaking to IANS, he said, “At present the AQI of Dutta Path is 474. While the sun has risen. This makes it clear how bad the situation is in Delhi. The biggest reason for the worsening situation in Delhi is the policies of the AAP government. The present government of Delhi does not have any concrete policy. “They have not presented any environment plan to the people of Delhi in the last 10 years.”

He further said, the current pollution situation in Delhi is not a one-day problem. This is a 12 month problem. From January 1 till today, AQI has not gone below 50. The reason is clear, Delhi government is not doing any work. If you want to fight dust pollution, you will have to work by making a concrete policy.

According to Sachdeva, the present government of Delhi is proving unsuccessful in solving the basic problems. He further said, this government is neither able to stop the dust. Nor is it able to build roads. Nor are they able to manage the waste. For this, the Supreme Court has also reprimanded the Delhi government that 3100 tonnes of garbage is being released without management. These people do not talk on that issue. It was the work of Arvind Kejriwal to stop air pollution in Delhi, stubble smoke in Punjab, all this. He has failed to stop it. They only know corruption and theft in Delhi. They don’t know how to work.”
