Sri Krishna left for Hastinapur with Ambassador Sanjay. There Sri Krishna put the condition of a treaty proposal to the Pandavas. Shri Krishna said in the meeting, O Rajan! You know that the Pandavas are peace loving but this does not mean that they are not ready for war. The Pandavas consider you to be Pitaswaroop, so you should take the appropriate decision…. While continuing his talk, Shri Krishna told Duryodhana that Duryodhana, I only want you to return to half the kingdom and make a treaty with them, if you accept this condition, then the Pandavas will accept you as a crown prince.
Dhritarashtra explained that the son, if the war is alerted by giving only 5 villages, then what can be better than this, so leave your persistence and make a treaty with the Pandavas so that this destruction is averted. Duryodhana now got angry and said that Father, I will not give the land of a straw to those Pandavas and now the decision will be only in the battlefield.
After Dhritarashtra, Bhishma Pitamah and Guru Drona also explained to Duryodhana but he remained adamant and he did not even listen to his mother Gandhari.
