Bulldozer action has started on illegal construction of Bangladeshi infiltrators in Chandola Talab area of Ahmedabad from Tuesday. The Gujarat Police started preparations from Monday night. Here 50 bulldozers and 36 dumpers have been installed. The encroachment of the area spread over 2000 square yards i.e. 18 thousand square feet has been cleaned so far. Police, Crime Branch, SOG, Cybercrime and SRP teams are stationed in the area.
Gujarat High Court rejected the petition of the stay
A petition was filed in the High Court to stay this mega demolition. However, this petition was dismissed by the High Court. People living here had said in the petition that the legal process and rules were being vandalized. The petitioners also claimed that there is no concrete evidence of the people living here to be Bangladeshi.
Government said- 4 Bangladeshi associated with Al Qaeda
The government also presented its stand during the hearing in the High Court from 11 am to 12.30 am. The government lawyer told the court that this action is necessary in terms of security of the country. The four Bangladeshis living here have also been revealed to be associated with Al Qaeda. Keeping in mind the national security, the investigating agency has not provided complete information related to them.
Apart from this, people living here are associated with theft, drugs and drugs smuggling. Most women are involved in prostitution and children are also being pushed into prostitution. Hundreds of Bangladeshis living in these settlements around Chandola lake have made fake documents. Action is being taken to check the documents and send them.
890 suspected Bangladeshis were detained from the area
Police have detained 890 suspects from this area in the last two days. Of these, 143 people have been identified as Bangladeshi citizens. This action has been initiated after the Pahalgam attack. Those detained have been brought to the Crime Branch office. In the investigation, fake Aadhaar cards and PAN cards have been seized from many. The shocking thing is that many of them also speak Gujarati without stuck.
